Navajo Nation Fights Arizona's Ethnic Studies Bill
“Arizona HB 2281 is offensive to the patriotism and sacrifice demonstrated by Navajo Nation Code Talkers who utilized their knowledge of their ethnic culture and Navajo language for the benefit of all peoples of the United States of America.”

Further, the resolution states that Arizona public schools should not be required by law to teach intolerance by restricting education opportunities and promoting fear of the unknown and fear of the unlearned.

Instead, “pupils should be taught to treat and value each other as individuals as well as members of diverse, robust ethnic backgrounds that positively contribute to the multicultural, multi-ethnic fabric of Arizona society.”

1. And even after we stripped them of their rights, their land
and tried to strip them of their language and heritage, still they came when called and brought their language skills to defend the American people. They live in poverty and yet here they come again to defend the good people of Arizona. I stand with them.

4. I lived in Arizona and never saw a trace of 'segregation' or bias on a reservation.
Your family members experienced sitting in a single business as an act of discrimination and you conclude that 'these Indian reservations' practice segregation.

5. The business was operated by the Indian reservation.
It wasn't a private business.

3. Good for the Navajo Nation. I sometimes wish the native Americans were a larger part of our
government. Their understanding of the world would aid us all.
