Four KC teachers reinstated
Four Kansas City school teachers who were told they would be losing their jobs next year will be able to stay after all.

The administration decided that retaining those four “would be good for the district,” Chief of Staff Chace Ramey said after tonight’s board meeting.

The teachers, who have not yet been notified, were among 87 non-tenured teachers whose contracts were not renewed for next school year.

During the board meeting, Superintendent John Covington told the teachers’ union president that he had considered the union’s request to review the documents that several non-tenured teachers had provided through the union to argue that they should keep their jobs.

1. This happened in Wiscosin too
They let a slew of teachers (and substitutes) go, and then like only a few weeks later called them back and offered them their jobs back.
