Rick Perry and the FMA: Be Very Afraid
Rick Perry has now said he supports a constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriage. And he might well be president in 2013.
Being the extremist he is, I believe he will do even more than Bush to make it a reality.

From the Huffington Post today:
"Texas Gov. Rick Perry says he supports a constitutional amendment limiting marriage to a man and a woman, though just last week he said New York's gay marriage law is fine with him."

2. Seems as though I recall a "hushed up" incident with a former male staffer....
Seems like those closet doors might swing wide open if he becomes a serious candidate--wouldn't you think?

3. Actually, as I recall the rumor, it was the Texas Attorney General or Deputy AG.
I could be wrong, though.

5. That could be the case...
All I remember is a very "frantically" scheduled trip arranged with wife in tow to the Bush* White House and no more was ever said... :eyes:

6. It was the Secretary of State, as I recall

I just loved the support rally. This was just delicious. He's as slimy as Hot Tub Tom.

Oh, and here's another one.

"I also learned of a new rumor making the rounds. Several sources told me they had heard that the Governor is in a current gay relationship with one of the two (male) chefs that Perry he keeps on staff at the tax-payer funded ($10,000 a month) temporary governor’s mansion."

4. ain't gonna happen
He needs a 2/3 majority in BOTH houses of Congress and he needs 38 states to approve the measure. A President has no power or say over Constitutional Amendments.
