I believe the percentages are calculated based on the RDA using a 2,000 calorie per day diet.
I'm going to go eat a veggie now.

7. 1770mg of sodium! Why? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-01-11 09:24 AM by RC
Besides boosting blood pressure, excess sodium can suck the calcium out of the bones and teeth of susceptible people also. Purely a chemical thing. Most people do not know that until they break a hip joint. And no that is not Osteoporosis, that is something different.
Of course it should not have not shell fish in it either.

5. Well, part of the problem is the size - why on earth |
|
would anyone WANT to drink a quart of ice cream product? Four cups. That's insane.
As for the crustaceans - hell, if they're going to make that thing, they might as well toss in some powdered lobster shell for the joints. They could call it 'health food' . . .

8. It's just the thing for my husband who needs to maintain his weight |
|
during chemo and radiation.
The 38 grams of protein will make a good dent in the 144 grams minimum he needs every day.
Not something for everyone, but it'll help him keep up his weight and strength.
