Dear Mr. Bush: WHAT is terrorism?
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 10:50 PM by SongOfTheRayne
I've been hearing a lot about 'terrorism' lately....but really, what is it?

Does it mean that your enemies are never given a fair trial?
Does it mean that you keep prisoners in conditions that violate the Geneva Convention? Does it mean that people dissapear after slipping into your hands?

Or that you do things that you feel neccesary to hide from the U.N.?
And does it mean that there have been cases in which people who are immediatley found innocent when given a trial are imprisoned for months or years with no trial? Does it mean that these people- when released- have become witnesses to inhuman atrocities?

Does it mean there are places in which HUMAN BEINGS are commonly driven to insanity? Does it mean that you must send your attorney general to try to redefine the very word 'torture' so that you may get away with further cruelties?

Does it mean that your citizens must live in fear?

Secret trials, no trials, secret jails, low standards, no standards, suicide-and-insanity-causing conditions, black zones, things hidden from the U.N., fear tactics, dissapearances, redefinitions, Geneva Convention violations, alliances with dictators, unconstitutional actions- if this isn't terrorism...
WHAT IS?
Because of these atrocities commited by AMERICA, many must now live in fear. THAT is terrorism.

1. Funny you post this...
I was listening to my local Boston conservative talk radio station (as any good liberal should to make sure they aren't planning some sort of mass kidnapping of liberty)... and the man behind the mic was proclaiming the hit and run incident at the UNC campus on Friday was a terrorist attack. His reasoning? It was performed by an Arab Muslim. I am not kidding you. His words were something along the lines of: "Are you shocked it was a Muslim? I'm not! Its terrorism. Muslims terrorize America. This man is a Muslim and he tried to hurt, kill, destroy the very fabric of the UNC campus, god save them."

Riiiiight... thoughts?

4. The ones about surveilance?
Yeah, that's just about as unconstitutional as it gets....except for the Gonzales memos to Congress.
