Property Rights In England - Set Back Again
Businessman Munir Hussain hit a knife-wielding burglar — one of three who had broken into his home and terrorized his family — with a cricket bat. So Mr. Hussain was sentenced to 30 months in prison for injuring the aggressor. Now he has been released after a year, and the rest of his sentence suspended. Note his face in the photo in this article.

Yet another victim of the burglar-state.

1. um, he stalked and permanently injured one of the burglers AFTER...
...he had fled the scene, if I read that article right. That's not self defense, it's vigilante justice.

2. here
He was threatened at knifepoint, tied up alongside his wife and three children, and held hostage on the floor of their living room.

When his 15-year-old son fled upstairs, chased by two of the masked men, Hussain turned on Salem and chased him away.

Joined by his brother, who lived nearby, he cornered him in a neighbour’s garden and attacked him with a stick, leaving him with brain damage.

I don't know, I wasn't there....either way...I'm sure his adrenaline was pumping....
and he probably wanted to make sure this guy could never again tied up his wife and children.

3. Maybe not such a setback.
The article is about the release of Munir Hussain. A judge reviewing the original sentence reduced it and released Munir Hussain. Admittedly, the conviction still stands.

All in due time.
