The truth about implantable microchips and all that jazz |
|
Edited on Fri May-26-06 09:39 PM by dkos refugee
I still see idiots on Fox News talking about how great it would be to have GPS tracking chips implanted in your kids watches, or how safe your kids will be once they have a chip implanted in them. You'll always know where they are. Awww doesnt that make you feel all warm and fuzzy and safe? See, big brother isn't always bad.
It's total bull. No your kids are not safe with the help of big brother. Why? Because any criminal that is going to kidnap a child is just going to remove the watch, or the chip. These things will not keep anyone safe. In fact they only increase the danger. They will lull parents into a false sense of security, by making them think they know where there kid is. In reality they could be tracking some random pickup truck in Nevada. Who knows where a kidnapper might toss that chip, or that watch. Also, this technology can be easily used to frame someone. Just use your imagination. There's a million reasons why it's a bad idea. But the propagandists at Fox News are winning the hearts and minds of people with this crap.
Please if you ever catch anyone suggesting that implantable microchips might be a good thing, dont hesitate to tell them how and why they are being brainwashed. Use this as an example to show people why Fox News and other big brother apoligists are nothing but shills for a police state. Implantable microchips are only useful for tracking people on a massive scale. No such technology will ever bring security to us as individuals. It will only bring security to the elite who wish to control us.

5. Yeah I know, but you know after 3 days of keep kids safe lock all men up |
|
until they are 99 years old type post, it really makes wonder just how real some liberals really are. By the way, that will be the only answer to make sure kids and women are 100% safe. So new law time, new law: in order to keep all women and kids safe from predators, men when all be put in prison one month before their 8th birthday and will remain in prison until they reach their 99th birthday.

4. The official propaganda arm is actually selling this stuff? |
|
Damn... I'm surprised the religious folk aren't freaking out and preaching in the street about marks and such.
It's not just for kids... just think, with the GPS/RFID chip in you, when you buy stuff that's got RFID capability, the big corps will know what you bought. They can gather up all that info on their huge petabyte, multi-tier data centers and sell you more of the kind of stuff you like. If bad people buy bad things, like copies of the Communist Manifesto, or the Anarchist's Cookbook, the feds can know, and protect you from them.
With the GPS capability, if the bad folks gather some place, let's say, a Quaker/Friends meeting, or a tea shop/hauka bar where Arabs ar known to gather (at least in VA), the Feds can know about it. Wiretap the joint, know what they're saying and protect you from them.
With the GPS and RFID combined, they can easily know who and where people are, and if certain people with question marks in their file all gather together in one place (like anti-war folks, or brown people), they can know they're planning something evil... and thwart their plans before they're made! It's preemptive. It's genius.
Do you think anyone is buying?

7. My dogs are microchipped |
|
But you can easily defeat them...a shopvac is all it takes to scramble the info so that it doesn't even show up on the scanner any more. (Had to have one dog rechipped because I vacuumed her.)

8. RFIDs are already required for passports |
|
How many times do you/would you walk around in a foreign country without your passport? Courtesy of the REAL ID Act, RFID driver's licenses may be coming soon to a DMV near you. http://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2005/05/real_id.htmlhttp://news.com.com/FAQ+How+Real+ID+will+affect+you/2100-1028_3-5697111.html?tag=st.numhttp://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/08/12/ramasastry.ids/index.htmlHow often do you leave your house without your license, whether you're driving or not? So much for being able to refuse the chip if RFID tags are included in licenses. *sigh*
