I think ACLU hs reached the height of stupid! It is sending out
petitions with black ink on a dark gray background. At my age and with not so great eyesight, I can't find the info asked to fill the slot.

I have tried to e-mail them about this two times now and this is the 3rd petition I have received this week from them with the same format. Can someone get to them and tell them to clean up their act. A post on DU should get them the message!!!!

2. I've been in a running battle with my company.
I get sent a hard-copy page of information weekly for classes that I teach. It's printed in 8 point, sans serif type. I can't read it with my strongest reading glasses -- I have to take out the contacts and hold the page three inches from my nose, so that my near-sighted little eyeballs can focus.

After a few weeks of complaint emails, they changed from a narrow font to a standard one. Of course, it's still 8 point, sans serif, but it's a step in the right direction.

I've wondered if the new iPad is Steve Jobs' recognition that those of use with old eyeballs can't read the iPhone and iPod.

3. That kind of copy should be at least 10 -point schoolbook with serif type!

5. 'Black ink on white copy' is what I told them in two of my e-mails
that never reached them.

6. That's the influence of the kids who grew up with MySpace, where
every other page is dark type on a dark background. Morons, every one.

8. Probably not. The kids are doing all the work these days.
You should see what I come up against doing content for web sites. It's amazing. Whenever there's a 20-something involved, I'm in big trouble. In fact, I've started turning down content gigs when I encounter one of them who's dumber than three rocks.
