A little humor for us old folks. DRESS CODE

Many of us "Old Folks" (those over 50, WAY over 50, or hovering near 50 , or even nowhere near 50) are quite confused about how we should present ourselves. We are unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashions.

Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together and should be avoided:

1. A nose ring and bifocals
2. Spiked hair and bald spots
3. A pierced tongue and dentures
4. Miniskirts and support hose
5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads
6. Speedos and cellulite
7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
10. Bikinis and liver spots
11. Short shorts and varicose veins
12. Inline skates and a walker

And last, but not least...my personal favorite:

13. Thongs and Depends

1. I live in Southern Marin County and I have seen almost all of those.
But #13 would send me off the Golden Gate Bridge.

5. One time my wife and I were eating at a buffet restaurant
And she said "Now that would stop a clock"
I turned around to see and my comment was "That would scare the clock into running backwards."
There was this woman wearing a halter top, mini skirt, fishnet hose and high heels. She was about 30 years and 50 lbs beyond the point where she should dress like that and it wasn't Halloween either.

6. But these are the things that make Absolutely Fabulous fabulous.
Let's not forget the dead! I have horrible visions of the unspeakable. The unsagging and forever "beautiful" and "excited" who are no longer "with us". :D
