Do the major newspapers in your city (or in the city closest to your home that isn't in a city) accept letters to the editor that disclose the letter writer's initials and surname, but that disclose no other information about the letter writer's name?

The Kansas City Star does, and it will print only the identifying characteristics you want them to print (of course if you don't mention it, they will print name and town/city).
