4. Liberal, Lady, Lovely, Lascivious, Loony, Loving, Lecherous... |
|
There are so many of those words, there, Boojatta. Why are you trying to stir up a controversy in this forum? Does it amuse you to do so? Are you bored? What's the deal?

7. there are several thousand "l" words in the english dictionary alone |
|
to which of them are you referring? assuming, of course, that you are referring to an english word.

It has been said that the L word is comparable to the N word, and that this is simply a fact that nowadays the general public fails to recognize. Eventually, social activists who believe that the L word is comparable to the N word might conceivably succeed in influencing general public opinion and winning agreement from the general public.

9. Where on earth has that been said? |
|
Link please?
I know there are some women who don't like the implications the word carries but have never seen anyone compare it to the 'n' word. Given that no one on this thread knew what "L" word you were talking about, I doubt it's a genuine crisis.
Why is the women's rights forum the only forum you spam with your nonsense?

10. Thanks for the PM "Re: Where on earth has that been said?" |
|
"From: Boojatta Date: Oct-05-09 04:28 PM
Dear lukasahero:
Try searching in the DU Lounge for threads containing both the word "lady" and the word "word." You can limit your search to threads active within the past three months. When you find a likely candidate, you will of course still have to do some searching within the thread.
Sincerely, Boojatta
P.S. The DU rules apply not only to what is posted on the public board, but also in PMs. Therefore, I advise you to neither PM other people with such a link nor to post such a link when you find one. Otherwise, you might find yourself in official violation of the DU rule against "calling out."
P.P.S. For convenience, you might want to display the entire thread when you find a likely candidate thread and use Control-F to search within the window. Best of luck in your search."
Like I said, "doubt it's a genuine crisis". But thanks for playing.

There happens to be a poll in the DU Lounge related to your question.

I'm thinking I should be offended. I feel so old-fashioned in not being offended and so clueless as to why I should be offended.
