I'm teaching a class behavioral sciences and ethics and find myself unable to locate a decent article making the case against animal research (both physiological and behavioral).
Does anyone have suggestions?

2. One of my favorite ethicists has written extensively on the topic. |

His name is Steve F. Sapontzis. He writes mostly academic texts and articles so his works are pricey to buy but you should be able to check them out from your library or through a library consortium.
The book you'd be looking for is called Morals, Reason, and Animals and the section most in line with this query would be section 12 Whither Animal Research? on pages 209-229.

The point-counterpoint is good for the general arguments and it cites journal articles for more detail. Other info at the site is good too.
