The founder of Vegan World Radio has passed away.
My mother, Shirley Wilkes-Johnson, founder and co-host of Vegan World Radio on Houston's Pacifica affiliate, and pioneer of the animal rights movement in Texas, died peacefully on Saturday morning. Last night the show was a moving tribute to her work.
