Is there a list somewhere of attorneys who take on these kinds of issues?
I'm looking to hire one to represent my recently deceased dog.....

1. Yes, and some of them are the very best litigators in the biz. |

Who you can get to represent you depends on the jurisdiction in which you need to be represented, of course. Also, many state bar associations have an "animal law" committee. Another idea is to contact a local animal rights group who may know someone personally they can refer you to. I do know a couple of the more prominent ones, so if you'd like to PM me some of the details I can ask them if they could recommend anyone.
Best of luck to you for your dog.

2. It's a negligence case |

for violating standard of care in boarding at a veterinary clinic and involves the improper use of chemicals. The dog has since been euthanized.
I'm not trying to get rich or recover money to pay vet bills. What happened to my dog ought not have occurred. I am looking for some measure of justice for my dog. I'll likely assign the proceeds of any successful litigation to an animal/dog/breed rescue.
I actually am licensed to practice law in a couple of states. I've not been able to identlfy any animal rights lawyers in this particular jurisdiction through the state bar or any of the peer rating services.
