Question on 10.3.9 and OfficeX (Word) |
|
I just upgraded from 10.1.5 to 10.3.9, and enjoy it considerably, with the exception of the fact that my Word app is now acting strangely (OfficeX suite). When clicking "Save As..." on a new doc, it doesn't give me the option to type in a file name, just automatically uses the first line. Plus, font names in the WISYWYG pull-down menu are spaced out with blank lines between (maybe a full inch of screen space intervening).
Any thoughts on the issue? Any patches/workarounds known?
Thanks! :dunce:

1. I'm using Office X with OS 10.3.9, and Word has always |
|
taken the first line of the document as the default file name.
I simply pull down Save As, and get a dialogue box with the proposed file name in the uppermost space, with possible locations farther down.
If I don't like what Word has suggested, you just retype it in the upper space.

2. No dialogue box though |
|
Yes, Lydia, what you describe is how Word has always worked. But since my upgrade, there *is* no suggested file name - just the finder pane to choose the folder.
Sorry if I wasn't clear.
