Help Please, dear Mac people.
I am getting an error message

( running Tiger, Safari 2.0.1)

"Safari support is very limited and should
be considered experimental.

You can disabled this message by setting
Safari warning option to False."

I cannot find this option, anywhere-

Not under Safari Preferences,
System Preferences, nowhere.
Apple.com/support has nothing
My ISP can't help.
AppleCare?- My computers are out of warranty.
I am as welcome there as Michael Moore at a GOP convention.

Do any of you know where to find this option?

Thanks.

1. In the web address bar
Edited on Mon May-22-06 07:47 PM by realisticphish
type: "about:config"

and you'll get a shitload of options that can be set with true/false, or numbers. That's what I assume they mean, but I don't see an option that says that. There are several that might apply under security, but look around and hopefully you'll find it

edit: i just realized that I was working in camino, not safari, and about:config doesn't seem to work with safari. sorry.

2. Hi, realisticphish,
Thanks for trying to help:)

it looks like it's an outdated cookie problem
on one website-I may have to use another browser
for this website- I only have Safari and I could use a backup
browser.

you mentioned Cameo-
I've also heard Firefox is good.

Which browser has the least problems for Macs ?

Thanks.

3. well, for me
I love Camino. It's fast, and compact. Unfortunately, at times it can be a memory drain if you have too many tabs open. But it's the only one I use regularly (though i have Firefox, Safari, and *ugh* IE for emergencies).

A lot of other people prefer Firefox; so I would say, choose between Firefox and Camino. Good luck :hi:
