The Apple Store has pissed me off
I was driving past the mall today and thought, hey, I'll go browse, see if there are any games that catch my eye. I go in, and see absolutely no software. usually there are two whole rows of stuff. Instead, there's a table with two ipads there that people can play with.

So I ask the associate why they don't sell software anymore, and they said "oh, we do!" They proceeded to show me two shelves of stuff behind the register; all of it was iLife and MS Office, that kind of thing. I asked where the software that USED to be there went, and they said "we condensed it here." So, where are the games, etc? "Anything else you might need we can get out of the back."

I go to the computer store to BROWSE. I don't have a game I'm looking for, I want to see what's out there. I probably would have bought something, too; they lost a 50-70 dollar sale. I think before long, they'll remove their computers entirely, so they can fully devote their space to iphones, ipods, and ipads.

3. For the longest time, I've purchased online, download, then
burned the disc image along with activation codes. I rarely buy a box of software. Mac Update, Apple online store, or the author's web page are my sources for software. I go to the brick and mortar for hardware.

4. I just liked being able to browse
I often bought online in the end; usually cheaper.

Guess I will now, either way...

5. It has always been frustrating for Mac owners when it came
to buying software locally. There's never been a big enough market, and MS was very aggressive about shelf space, even to the point of making their packages larger to squeeze out competition.
