6. Mom's a hard one

no matter how sick she's been and for how long. My own mother's passing brought a mixture of grief and relief. I wanted her to live forever, but not like that. I'd spent her last few days getting enough pain medication into her to keep her floating, along with other sedative drugs. I could rouse her, but just barely, and I have no idea if she even knew who I was. It was still a shock when she finally went.

HW, I know exactly what you're feeling. My own mother's case was handled stupidly from time to time and there was one doc I could have strangled with a smile on my face.

You will get through this, time makes it better although it never goes away.

7. Thank you to all of you

who have been here for me. I wish you all were closer, too. We all have our losses to bear in life, and they are made easier by dear friends such as yourselves.

I don't know how conversant I will be here in the short run, but please know that you all are appreciated for your kindness and support.
