Yogurt accident during pitch. Did I ruin it?
I had burned some myrrh on a burner earlier. somehow a piece of the ash landed in my crockpot during the pitch. I was able to fish it out successfully. Did I introduce something that might interfere with the process? Does the fact that it was completely burnt and the piece was about the size of a dried split pea make any difference?

1. Myrrh isn't poisionous unless it's treated with something

3. It's the raw myrrh. It was burnt to a crisp.

2. It's hard to say.
So many things can throw a batch. Might as well just let it go through the process and see what happens.

Hope it works out okay for you, 'fredo. Could have just accidentally invented a new yougurt flavor. LOL

:hi:

4. Yeah, burnt evergreen flavored yogurt.
It should be done around midnight.

I make a half gallon at a time in my crockpot. I've made over ten gallons so far.

5. It appears OK. I didn't add powdered milk this time, so
it appears thinner, but smoother. The taste seemed good, not too tart. I could have let it work for another hour, but it's just for smoothies, so thickness is of little concern.
