Today is Jerry Seinfeld's birthday...
so my birthday countdown theme?

Nothing. He always said his show was about nothing.

1. Maybe you could serve soup and muffin tops in his honor.
Ok, well maybe muffin stumps would be better?

7. Well, I only have cinnamon.
Sorry, it's the lesser babka.

OTOH, if it's too hot for soup, there's always the big salad.

2. Take him out to a diner tonight.
Tuna salad on whole wheat... I don't remember what they ordered except for coffee and pie!

6. Can't go out...I've got a marketing thing, a focus group about
comedies. I kid you not. :)

10. It was fun!...
a pilot for a possible new show. Needs work but it was funny.

They pay you in visa cards now. :)

The boys are running in a 5K as I type so they ate pasta last night.

12. I did one focus group at CBS back in the early 80s.
But I sat in a lot more sitcom test audiences over the years we lived in NYC without having to fill out the cards. Just go and laugh. I'm not active in that line of work any longer, but it was fun. Glad you enjoyed yourself. :hi:

13. There were some serious critics in the group...
I thought "Wow! Who knew there were so many experts?" lol.

In reality, we were just some average people with big mouths. :D

14. Oh, and I personally enjoyed the Barefoot Contessa reference...
not sure how many others caught it.

9. Ha! I never liked that show at all
so I made my last pot of posole verde for the season, but no soup for him!

I loaded it up with serrano peppers and it's just got the barest amount of burn. It's wonderful stuff.

11. We watched for years, then lost track...
and then watched again before the end.

Some of my husband's friends said I looked like the character Elaine. Well, I have a semi-pointy chin but other than that, no way. Plus I CAN DANCE! :)
