I love this stuff. Americans who are not Arab-Americans never seem to go the extra step of doing the traditional prettying it up -

1. That's true.
Our local Middle Eastern restaurant always serves their hummus a la pretty. I serve mine a home a la container I bought it in. ;)

The extra prettiness.. the pine nuts, or olive oil, or cliantro/parsley, even pimentos and olives or lemons really do add that extra kick of flavor.
