1. hey
Not too bad. Just starting to get to the point where I can eat some things again. One of the things fasting teaches you is that, after a period of time without food, everything starts to sound good! hahaha I lived off yoghurt and chicken broth for 4 days, and now I'm ready for a pizza! Can't have it yet, though. :(

I hope you're feeling better. Chronic illnesses are difficult to live with. I admit I do worry a bit when you don't post for a few days.

On the other topic (board discussion), I really enjoy it when people talk about their experiences, so I hope that will catch on here. I've put up some tentative threads along that line in the past, but no one except you ever responded to them, so maybe that's not what others are looking for from this Group. If not, that's ok. But I feel kind of guilty just signing in every day. :)

It seems like a lot of us are suffering. What others are going through can easily be lost on us in our everyday lives, especially as we're conditioned by society not to "show our weaknesses" to others. It's almost a shock to hear about them. I've wondered a bit lately about what it must be like to be a shaman, someone who takes others' pain into him/herself. It seems to me that it would be an incredibly difficult burden. But in my way of thinking, the Universe always balances itself out, so that when illness or injury or injustice is taken away from someone, it must go somewhere else. I haven't been trained in this at all, so I'm not sure where to put it. :) It intrigues me, though.

Think I'm starting to ramble. :D

2. Ramble on, honey. Talking is good for the soul and what better
corner than right here? To be strong enough to allow weakness, that is a good thing.

3. I agree with all of that.
One of the errors of Western civilization, IMO, is the rejection of weakness. "Zero tolerance", etc. I think we of the modern West are the first major culture to adopt such a stance, and that it is tearing us up. Human beings are "designed" to respond emotionally to our environment and to each other, and stifling those reactions is ultimately going to lead to our psychic, spiritual, and physical destruction.

I hope things are moving for you, and that healing is in them.
