For healing/reconciliation on DU
The hatred has to stop.

Please pray for all of us, that we will learn to treat one another with respect and dignity.

Please pray that DU can be a place of good in the world, and hope for people who are seeking answers.

Please pray for Skinner, Elad, EarlG, and the mods.

And please pray that we may receive forgiveness for our sins, mistakes, and lapses in judgment - in exactly the same way that we forgive others.

1. I will pray with you, Rev
I just happen to be exploring the Groups, many of which I have never entered, and came across your post.

------------------

I pray that we don't let the evil and darkness that we are trying to fight get inside us, and I pray that we don't start spreading that evil and darkness to each other.

I pray that we all remember that we are almost always on the same side, and our goals are the same - for the world to be a fairer and more peaceful place.

I pray that we have the patience to think before we click on 'POST' :P

PEACE!

3. I've been praying this along with you, Rev.
I pray that the words which have been shared will not fester between people. May all who post have respect for one another. Many blessings on the administrators and moderators. And on you, Rev., for reminding us to support one another.

4. Wow. Needed now, more than ever.
I was ready to head over here and post something, but didn't know what. I love it when the Spirit works this way.

I hear the part of scripture reminding us to not grow weary, and never tire of doing good. (yeah, it's Paul, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now. Besides, I'm a Methodist - not good at memorizing scripture references)

FORGIVENESS is the name of the game. It's a part of LOVE.

8. What a great thread!
This is...an answer to prayer (No, really). I've long thought we ought to be putting our energies into building unity and strength, not forming the circular firing squad. It's not that everyone is in self-destructive mode, but that some tempers are flaring and words like "purge" are getting thrown about with abandon.

9. Glad to be of service.
This was posted originally during the "Pope Wars". Unfortunately, we are always in need of healing. Such is the earthly kingdom.

11. I will also pray this prayer
and I pray that the God of my understanding gives me the strength to not succumb to the pettiness that wishes to consume my actions.

12. Please, God, make our minds clear.
Help us to choose our words wisely.

Let us not sacrifice the opportunity to do good.

Help us to move forward.

Help us to be just, wise, and kind.

16. Now more than ever...
I'm in, Rev. Need to catch my breath and let anger blow out with the bad air.

In with the good air: restore balance, remember to respect, apply empathy, try to send out good energy.

Thanks, Rev, I needed that.

17. Amen

My prayer for DU is that we stop being so mean to each other when we post.

DU'ers are not the enemy.

We can not allow GW and his crooked friends to stop us from following our core beliefs.
