Travel journal for kids?
We're going on a trip to NOLA and FLA over winter break, and I'm looking for a trip/travel journal for kids. Has anyone here ever tried one? Is there one you recommend?

1. Here are two that I've seen used by guests

I've also seen kids with plain scrapbooks who were encouraged to collect and write whatever they wanted -- no guidelines.

One of the most fun things to do is let them have their own camera -- it's interesting to see what strikes their fancy. Of course, you may end up with dozens of kneecap pictures. :D

Sounds like a fun trip -- I'm from Louisiana but live in FL right now, so let me know if you have any destination-related questions.

2. Thanks for the camera idea.
I hadn't consider that. We have an older one around here she could use, and digital is so easy to weed out now.

If you have any suggestions for family restaurants and activities in NOLA, I'd appreciate hearing about them. I'm a little nervous, since the 7 year old is a vegetarian, and everything seems to have either meat or seafood in it.

3. Veg in the south is hard to find!
You will have the most luck finding a vegetarian restaurant around the campuses, I think. I'll ask around to family and friends who are still there to see what is actually open.
