Has anyone had a baby that gets upset when you sit down?
Our 16-week-old has lately developed this odd habit of getting upset when we sit down with him. He's fine when we are standing and carrying him, but when we sit, he often starts crying. It's weird. I don't think it's a problem, but wanted to know if this occurred with anyone else.

For a bonus, here's a picture of him:

2. Some babies like to see things from higher ground.
Both of mine weren't too fond of being held while sitting. Didn't help any that Dad is super tall either. :D

3. yep -
my now 10 yo was just like that! As long as you were standing, he was A-okay. But even START to sit down and he would wail!!

I could never figure out how he KNEW we were about to "sit" - it's like you'd lower yourself to a certain level and he'd start crying.

Don't worry, he'll outgrow it - when he's about 4 or 5.

4. Well, the only way to calm mine down if I sat down was to nurse her,
otherwise, forget it! And she never seemed to sleep either unless she was in her baby sling with me walking- no standing mind you. As soon as I would stop then she would wake up.

Oh my goodness, I want to think that these active babies will be smarter or something wonderful to make up for the fact that it was so so hard, but the other babies who slept ALL THE TIME seem to be smart and nice children now that they are all 8 yrs olds. So, I guess it is just bad luck for us and maybe it forces us to exercise more than we really wanted to.

Your baby is so cute semillana; good luck through these hard first years.
