I'd love to hear from stay-at-home parents. I'm one. |
|
Just starting out. :hi:
I "retired" when we realized my job would about pay for child care, and I realized I didn't love my work more than hanging out with my new daughter. Not by a long shot.
So today, mom's out for her first half-day at work... she starts full-time next week, and I've just gotten the baby down (she's 8 weeks) and I'm trying to imagine what my days will look like.
We woke up, baby got a snack from mom, she took off... I played with my daughter for a good spell, she took a short nap, I got some dishes done. She woke up, drank a bottle, burped, we played a little, she nodded off again.
Any tips? I'm kind of loving this. :D

1. That's pretty much the drill for awhile |

I was able to stay home with mine or eight months. Eat, play, sleep. That was our schedule for a long time.
She is seven now, I'm not really sure her schedule has changed all that much, except now she goes to school. ;)
I'm so happy for you that you get to do this!

i was pretty sure i did NOT want to be a stay at home. 13 yrs later hubby and i clearly see the full advantages of stay at home. i had another two and half years later, so first 7 yrs hard.... but then, the kids get more independent adn i have the easy job.
