It seems like I am always tired since I had kids (mine are 2 and 4). And my kids sleep pretty well, at least compared to the horror stories I hear from some of my friends.
When will I stop being constantly tired? When they go to elementary school? When they go to college? When I die? Just wondering.

1. Make sure you spend time on yourself |

and things you like or make you feel good. I know it may not sound big but sometimes I'll go to Books a Million just so I can get a nice loaded Cafe Mocha and then my son (14 months) and I go back to the childrens section where he can play with the Thomas the train set. May sound silly but I used to love the kharma from bookstores before I had my son and it's a way I can kind of relax and he can have fun and be his usual self.

2. How often do you get away? |
|
You might just need some time away from them...
But, I only have one, and I'm tired all the time.

3. I probably could use more time away. |

I rarely get out with just my husband, either. Maybe we should make more of an effort to get a sitter on a regular basis.
But allot of the problem is just the lack of sleep. My daughter got up ultra early this morning and that combined with business is just wearing me out.

and my daughter is in second grade! They don't need your personal attention as much, but the increased school work and social commitments can tire you out. I suppose it may make a difference if you are a stay at home parent vs work outside the home parent. Stay at home parents have less adult conversation and that can be pretty wearing.
My sister once told me that I won't feel really rested until the kids are adults and living on their own (she says from personal experience).
