okay, another Firefox question |
|
I'm using Firefox under Linux. I love it. But there's just one little quirk I can't figure out. Animated gif's don't animate.
I've got image.animation_mode set to "normal." Anyone know what might be wrong?

1. Does it happen to all animated gifs, or are there some that do animate? |

2. seems to be all of them |
|
For example, here at DU, the flashing "new messages" doesn't show up, and the "hot" icon doesn't flame.

3. wfm (Debian, firefox 1.0-2). Hmmm. |

Could you have made a typo when you set the preference? Did you set it from about:config?
I've seen reports of some issues with animations related to caching. If bypassing or clearing your cache makes a difference, then you've stumbled upon one of those.
Sounds like a case for bugzilla. Sorry. :(

And now everything seems back to normal. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks for the help!
