Outlook Express 6 -XP
For a few weeks I have been unable to format font sizes (only my default #12). I need to send an attractive mail for a non profit, using the formatting. Even going to 'source' page won't help.

Reinstall??? From where?? Don't want to kill anything!

1. There are several good mail programs. You are not locked in to Outlook Express.
Also is OE6 the most current version? Check with Microsoft.

Here is a link for Thunderbird.

You can do testing by sending yourself eMails and this will check receivers view.

2. What type of formatting is it using by default?
I'm going purely on memory here, but I think that Outlook Express allows you to send emails in 3 formats: HTML, Rich Text, and Raw Text. If you have Raw Text selected, it only allows 12 point Courier New font to be used. To make it look pretty, use HTML.

Going with the KISS principle here, so if you've already tried this, kindly ignore my post. :)

4. Try this
From this link http://www.windowsbbs.com/internet-explorer/8361-outlook-express-font-size-problem.html:
Open Internet Explorer and click Tools - Internet Options - General - Accessibility and ensure that each of the (three) formatting options is unchecked. In OE, ensure that HTML is set as the default mail sending format.

5. Yep, I'd already checked and they were always set that way. Bummer.
