Firefox bookmark question |
|
I tend not to use the bookmarks folder in Firefox. I just drag the icon down to the bookmark toolbar.
I have the hard drive off my old desktop. I also have a little device that lets me hook it up to my laptop via USB. I'm trying to get some of the bookmarks off the toolbar in the old version of Firefox, but I can't find them anywhere. The Bookmarks folder doesn't have them. If I try to open the old iteration of FF, it just opens a new window of my new version with the new bookmarks.
Any help with this recovery effort is appreciated.

1. The most current version (3.6) has bookmarks.HTML files at Program files/Mozilla Firefox/defaults/ |

profile. Earlier versions were saved in different places.
I would just open explorer and do a search of the HD on bookmarks.html and use the most current date if you get several files.

I found a bookmarks.html file. For some reason, the bookmark I was especially looking for isn't there.
Sigh.
I appreciate the help, though.
