The Disaster That Is Hotmail. |
|
The new "improved" Hotmail has caused me to throw up my hands in despair. For the first week or two everything was slow but usable, but now accomplishing anything, including deleting a message, is nigh impossible (or requires 15 or 20 minutes). I've tried using different browsers and checking help forums, plus giving feedback, but so far no one has presented a workable solution.
Then again, I understand I'm one of the lucky ones. Some people can't even open their accounts and haven't been able to for days.
Hence my appeal to the collective wisdom of this forum. Any suggestions, tips, etc?

1. Ditch it, get an account from somewhere else. |
|
I've noticed that about 80% of the spam I get on my craigslist as is from hotmail accounts so I have a pretty low opinion of them to start with.

2. I ditched 'em for Gmail long ago. |

It sucks, but you can in theory forward most of your important correspondence to your new mail account. Gmail should automatically start assembling an address book for you from that cache of addresses, at least it did for me back when it was in beta all those years.
