1. I looked at all the pages. Christ, there's some nasty shit there.
I DO remember opening a Lady's computer that she kept in her kitchen and being "swarmed over" by (at least)
30 cockroaches.
I was not happy.

2. Next to power surges I think dust is probably the prime killer of computers..
I've worked on a bunch of them where the processor was burned up because the heatsink was clogged with dust.

I've seen 'puters with dust worse than any of those pictures, particularly the old 8086 machines, they would run for a very long time with practically no cooling at all.

3. Mine is people who back their PC's up against the wall
and stack stuff around them blocking all the air vents.

I can't remember the number of motherboards I've seen with nothing wrong with them other than fried caps.

4. If they are placed on the floor, all that stuff stacked around them helps to keep the dirt and dust
out. I read somewhere where hard drives like it a little warm, rather than cool. That should help, correct? :dunce:
