Lexmark C500N Printer Problem
Hello, does anyone have any experience with this printer? It is a laser colour printer which worked fine for two years, then gave me a bit of trouble installing it on a 64-bit Windows 7 system until I found the right driver ........ worked for a while, now the lights won't come on and it stopped printing. When I turn it on the red and green light plus 'error' in the LCD display show for a nano-second, it calibrates and sounds like it's going to work, then ...... nothing.

I've called a Lexmark service provider who tells me it will cost $200 minimum to fix. I can't believe it could work so well one day, then completely give out the next. It's like it's offline.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I can't afford to fix it, yet hate the thought of buying a new one.

1. mmm never mind. I've been on the phone again for hours. Apparently,
to my bank account it's worth more dead than alive.

:argh:

2. Does the display panel give an SVC Error Code?

3. Hi, thanks for the reply.... no, the display is blank, like there's no power,
yet it powers up fine, flashes the red and green light momentarily with a quick, plain 'error' message, then nothing.
