the poor thing...only 4 months old.

she so small.

taking her to the vet tomorrow to get fixed.

I'm surprised that she started so early at 4 months? Anyone else have their little girls go in heat so young?

1. Wow!
That's the opposite of my girl kitty, Pixie. I just got her spayed earlier this week; she is 14 months old and as far as I can tell she never went into heat. Maybe it was really subtle and I didn't notice, but my previous experience with girl cats is that they are NOT subtle at all about it. I guess she's just a late bloomer. She's not very big, about 7 lbs., and the vet said sometimes the smaller ones mature late.

But 4 months? I've heard of cat puberty at 6 months, but 4 months is the earliest I've ever heard of.

2. i know
we couldn't believe it...

last night my husband was calling me from the bedroom..."uhh babe, um...i think the kitten is in heat"

she's got all the symptoms...yelling, but in air, rubbing all over everything.

poor girl...she so small. i was hoping to enjoy her kitty hood for a while longer.
i'm hoping she won't grow up too fast after this.

3. She won't
She'll be just as cute after you get her fixed. 4 months is a little young, but Lily went into heat before 6 months too. I think also its advisable to wait for the heat to be over before you take them in to be fixed.

4. I had a similar experience with my kitty, Mildred. When
I rescued her, I thought she must have been about 3 or 4 months old. A few days later, my sister was petting her and said "wow, this kitten has large nipples." I made an appointment for her first check up at the vet and the vet said that she was probably a little bit older than we thought, maybe 5-6 mos., and might be undersized because she hadn't been eating properly. When she spayed her, she discovered that she was indeed pregnant, though the fetuses weren't yet formed, "just tiny dots." I'm glad we discovered it in time.

5. well, i was for sure last month when we found her
that she was probably 3 months old.
and by weight, that's what they thought too.

she's small, even though she's been eating like it's going out of style.

I think she really is 4 months old.

just kinda weird.

I'll pick her up tomorrow...they're keeping her overnight for observation. she's doing fine.

it's quiet around the house without her. She's such a pill, but such a cute cuddly little pill.
