Can anyone recommend a cat laxative?

One of our cats seems a little on the constipated side. Very small hard feces. They have a water fountain and I feed them a little dry but mostly canned on a regular basis. I think she just needs a little help. I don't know why this didn't occur to me before.

1. Not a laxative but when any of my furry friends (3 dogs, 1 cat)

seem like they are having problems, I give them canned pumpkin. Not pie filling, the plain pumpkin without anything added. They all love it and it has always cleared up any problems I have noticed.

The really great thing about pumpkin is that it works for diarrhea too. Ain't nature grand??
I always keep several cans of pumpkin in the cupboard.

3. Thanks, both of you for the pumpkin suggestion. How much? How often?

Do you just smoosh it into the wet food? She is a tubby 13lbs long haired Maine Coonish looking beauty.

4. I don't really measure.

I guess it's a few tablespoons. I think if you give her too much she just won't eat it. My cat doesn't like wet food so I just put it on a saucer and she eats it straight.

5. As above...a couple of tablespoons right in the food...

You can do it every day to keep her going regularly..
