Can anyone recommend a cat laxative? |
One of our cats seems a little on the constipated side. Very small hard feces. They have a water fountain and I feed them a little dry but mostly canned on a regular basis. I think she just needs a little help. I don't know why this didn't occur to me before.

1. Not a laxative but when any of my furry friends (3 dogs, 1 cat) |
seem like they are having problems, I give them canned pumpkin. Not pie filling, the plain pumpkin without anything added. They all love it and it has always cleared up any problems I have noticed.

2. Yep. Pumpkin is the answer. Pure pumpkin in the can..from Libby's |
The really great thing about pumpkin is that it works for diarrhea too. Ain't nature grand?? I always keep several cans of pumpkin in the cupboard.

3. Thanks, both of you for the pumpkin suggestion. How much? How often? |
Do you just smoosh it into the wet food? She is a tubby 13lbs long haired Maine Coonish looking beauty.

4. I don't really measure. |
I guess it's a few tablespoons. I think if you give her too much she just won't eat it. My cat doesn't like wet food so I just put it on a saucer and she eats it straight.
