My Andrew has Addison's Disease (a shift from Cushings), blindness and is fifteen years old. He is a chocolate dapple dachshund and the survivor of a pair of puppies that I have cared for since they were five weeks old. (His brother, Tippy, is in my sig line.) Andrew poked his eye and if he doesn't improve by Friday, he will have to go to sleep forever. He is my son, my friend, my little baby. Any good thoughts you might have are appreciated.

Is the eye infected? There's no other alternative than putting him down?
I know this is hard but I hope it helps to know that you've probably given him the best life ever on top of all that love.
