~ August 2011 ~ Visionary, Intuition & Dreaming Thread!!! :)
sorry for the MIA recently, i could blame it on Merc Rx, but i skipped July too, so ya...just dealing with busy i guess...

Soooooo
HAPPY Lammas!
First Harvest already?
Seems like the Summer is still sizziling for many of us
and we may even be worrying about harvest in some places
considering the extended wointer and the current heat
so Thank Goddess for Farmer's Markets!!!

:loveya:
This month, try to find or go to at least ONE Farmer's market,
...Bless the space & people as you walk around...
these are our new best friends
:)

The height of the season, the height of the summer is supposedly waning now,
as we lean back to the Equinox

*** *** ***
How do we choose to use the Light remaining this summer?
How do we 'Make Hay While the Sun Shines?'
We are also dealing with a merc retro this month
so remember to allow for retrospection and reflection
what do your reflections show you about things to rectify?

there is a saying that when fishermen can't go to sea they sit and mend their nets
be grateful for the time to set things in order
because when we go forward again, it's gonna be even weirder and faster....

5. Animal sighting, messages for sure
2 Ospreys in 2 mornings! First one as i was sitting here Tuesday am, worrying about my day and waking up, he flew right in front of my house swooped over the trees towards the lagoon...
second one was on my way home from dropping off the kids this morning, and it swoped agaiun, in front of my car and over the river, this time with a fish in its talons...

(Can't mistake this raptor, his wingspan is 4-6 feet!)

here's a couple snippets from the meaning:
- An osprey doesn't wait for the fish to jump out of the water to meet him, instead he splashes in headfirst into an element that he could not survive within. He even places his head under the water - unlike sea-eagles. He teaches us how to plunder our resources and the necessity to move outside of our comfort zones in order to do this. Osprey teaches us to take risks, and to not be frightened of grasping opportunities just because they seem like they're out of our reach.

- An appearance of osprey in your life can indicate an appearance of the spirit in the form of the Beacon, coming to guide you back to a place of safety or security, or to a feeling of groundedness.

- A beacon spirit, Osprey can help us to find our way back to ourselves, spiritually and physically. He helps us to hone our senses so that we will be nourished. To seize our opportunities before they slip away from us.

....Osprey individuals shadow sides can sometimes cause them to be fearful when it is unnecessary. They learn things about themselves that cause this feeling of fear and even doubt; things that they do not really like about themselves.

wow!

10. Dreams when sick...
does anyone else get trippy dreams when they are ill? Not only am i sleeping crazy hours and more deeply...but the dreams have been weird.

first - had a dream about getting a job with a writer/publisher, someone whose books on the shelves i totally recognized (very DragonLance type stuff)...never met the writer, but his assistant was immediately a best friend. the "penthouse" was so big you needed a map to go thru it... and the people, i guess the writer's entourage, were all there with family, kids, etc. there was a game room, and cool rooms for the boys and girls to sleep in (like themed, totally rad) and then upstairs on the deck was a wine & chocolate bar! yeah! the whole bldg was on the ocean, with ocean views...I really enjoyed that dream :)

then later, they got darker...
a dream about being with a group of people at some kind of waterpark, and having a argument with someone in the group (who happened to be secutiry) and ending up 'on trial' with the group trying to justify myself...even though i felt that i was on the defense.

and the last one about working as a babysitter/nanny for some chick... and after doing all this stuff to hep and feed her family, she comes downstairs and points out everything i DIDN"T do... i got so frustrated i made a mess in the kitchen and told her to cklean it up herself...i woke up as she was throwing things at me, could actually feel the swoosh as something flew by my head!

~~~ weird, and what's interesting is the negative dreams both involved me losing my cool and getting enraged. i wonder if i am purging that stuff or reinforcing it ? :shrug: maybe i am also looking at how much i need to justify myself on a regular basis...to whom?
any thoughts? :shrug:
18. I thought so too...but no
the meds between yesterday and today are different, but the dreaming and sleeping thing continues. (only took some dayquil once yesterday, none today, just my regular BP meds)
I am also reminded that I sent my picture and prayers earlier this year to John of God with my meditation class...and they 'work' on you for a year. many times when the entities do heavy work on you, they put you to sleep...so that could be a part of this too
just knocked off for another 3 hours...this time i had a dream about shapeshifting and weird technology society...the shape shifting thing was strange cuz i coould feel the difference between being solid and gelatanous...tripppy...
20. Do you think that ..
your recent astro reading shook loose some archetypal images for you? As hard as it is; my best dream interpretations
are when I assume each character represents something about myself. If it's true in waking life, why not dreaming? :idea:
Do you feel like a neglected house nanny for your family (sometimes)? And part of yourself IS the rebellion in making a mess.
But your RESPONSIBLE essence would be left to clean up?
I wish I could remember my dreams like you do. I know I'm dreaming great stuff :D
11. I'm getting some strong feelings that
Sarah Palin is going to run for President as an Independent or third party. She will because she likes the attention and she knows the Republicans don't want her to run. If only she does, she could divide the Republican vote. Any of you, who are more tuned into the universe than me, getting any vibes on this and think it might be a possibility?
14. That's interesting, but do you think she really
wants to play second banana again? I frankly don't think she really wants to be President. I feel she likes the limelight, the attention and the money. Running on a third party ticket will get her that and maybe another book deal and TV show, but she doesn't have to be President. That's too much like hard work and I get the impression she doesn't like to work that hard. It would be devastating for the Republicans because she will divide the vote among the crazy, evangelical voters. I so hope I am right and not indulging in wishful thinking.
15. She'll never be "second banana"..
no matter what office she may or may not hold. She always thinks everything is about HER.
She has no money. Perry has already met with the Koch's. I don't know whether she has or not.
They've all got to have corporate backers...
That's how the article phrased it. It fits. I don't think she can hold herself together enough to get a campaign off the ground.
19. I think she just wants to stir some shit
Campaigning is hard work. She will show up somewhere, anywhere to be a "guest" or to try and draw crowds away from another rally. Notice the last two times she has co-opted someone else's event. Pretty soon they will tell her to pay or stay away as providing security siphons funds from their own campaigns and from localities.
Regarding Perry-- he may have gone to the Kochs but the real money/influence/connections are behind someone else. Watch for Huntsman to be the dark horse. What is going on this summer is a carny show/revival meeting but means nothing for the real election-- it is PR-- who throws the best party. Bachmann has peaked, now she is a target and the arrows will start hitting their mark and sticking. She does not have the mental/psychological/physical constitution to be under this much scrutiny. She will play the victim but it won't work.
As the cuts made by the states are felt more universally, the people will realize that this is not the time for crazy religious fruitcakes if they want to see a return to prosperity and fairness. I know that is hard to see now as the Iowans chose Bachman in their straw pole and one has to wonder if it is even worth the effort to save a people so stupid.
21. Not getting anything about a third party challenge, (at least not a successful one)
but I'm sorry to post that I did a little meditating on how the presumptive Republican nominees will fare against our candidate, and was saddened to have Palin's name come through as one of the GOP noms who could beat Obama. So I hope those rumors about the Republicans working to flatten her campaign are true.
I don't want to post the rest of what came through to me, (don't ask) but for the record, I later asked specifically about which Republicans might become third party challengers in 2012, and the only name that came back was Bloomberg.
22. My son's 19th Bday is coming up this week
...this is the one who moved out earlier this year, and my mom is putting him up in the cabin free rent, can;t find a job, and his underage girlfriend is now hindering the whole process...
My dream was taking place in a remote area, seemingly near here, but at some points it seemed like it was like south america. the road that lead from the housing to the 'camp' was dirt and reminded me of 'romancing the stone'...
It was some kind of camp...like theater, but churchy too... and we all were there, me and the two little ones, and trev. (my oldest)
So we would work on the production and then travel back to the camp/housing area. So he didn't show up for his part in the rehearsal one day, and by the next day i went to his 'counselor' to ask about his not showing up for his part in the show... funny, the counselor reminded me of Dr. Drew.
So the counselor broke it to me that he was 'no longer with us' ....which everyone else interpreted as his death or demise. (my parents, who were not part of this camp, decided to have a memorial) I had a more in depth talk with the counselor, and it came out that he had left. he didn't show up for dinner, after telling the counselor he was leaving to be with his girlfriend. I guess they ran away together... :shrug:
so the underlying theme was that I had two more children to be there for, and i couldn't leave the 'camp' to go look for the other one. that i had to let him go, because he made his choice to be free of us all. even his grandparents, who i let continue believing he had died, because they would have been crushed to think he chose to leave ...
felt almost like a premonition, like when i go to live with the 'tribe' he will not be coming...
what's even weirder, is that when he was a child, i used to have this huge fear of 'losing' him...like he was not really 'mine' to begin with and i only had him on loan...he has a different path.
weird.
Not like a literal premonition of his physical death. Just my $.02.
30. pretty spot on actually
He came over Friday for a home made dinner, and it was awkward and uncomfortable. He barely spoke and seems really ungrateful for the love and effort we took...couldn't wait to get back home and his GF was texting him every 2 mins....very rude.
This weekend, his grandfather, uncle and cousin (who he shares bday with both of them and has not spoken to them or even emailed a happy bday) were up and getting some firewood from the neighbor on his street. He was asked to come and join the 'menfolk' in loading the wood and ignored them and said he was busy and going out .... he is totally ignoring us ALL, and only kissing grandmas butt so she will still give him money.
the girlfriend is 17, and they both say they will be married by this time next year.
He's really getting on the whole family's nerves for sure. my mom decided he can go elsewhere for thanksgiving and christmas, if he is going to be so rude.
but ya, it's very sad. He's truly a lost soul...no ambition, no goals, and the state of the world/economy probably isn't helping.
31. I would encourage
you all to invite him for holiday meals but give him the option to say no.
I've been in a similar situation. One Christmas I was having very difficult emotional problems.
I was crying a lot. My mother told me not to come to my sister's for Christmas if I was "upset".
It would bother my BIL. I didn't go. My family only wants me if I'm smiling and fit in to their mold.
That's very sad. Families are supposed to stick together and support each other.
In our culture, I guess that's an urban myth.
28. I did a meditation last night on how these Republican campaigns will "work out..."
Edited on Tue Aug-23-11 02:09 PM by BlueIris
Or, rather, when the various members piling out of what one member calls the Republican Clown Car will fall flat on their faces. (I don't believe the GOP nomination will go to anyone who has yet announced.)
My question was, "When will (This Person) flame out and why?" Categories for "why?" were Minor Scandal, Major Scandal, Verbal Gaffe on the Campaign Trail, and Other. In my mind, Other could include being voted down in the primaries for reasons having nothing to do with a scandal or misstatement.
Yes, I realize some of these names haven't formally declared or have presumably left the field. I asked about them anyway.
Minor Scandal: Bachmann (Oct.) My guess is something having to do with a male colleague or business associate (campaign donor?)
Major Scandal: Perry (Sept.) Not sure what the scandal is, but it feels like there's a lot of GOP opposition to his campaign.
Palin (Oct.) I think this has to do with husband, Todd.
Romney (Jan.) Not sure, but when I asked about this, an image of his family came up.
Verbal Gaffe on the Campaign Trail: Herman Cain (Oct.)
Trump (Oct.)
Jeb Bush (Feb.)
Pataki (Oct.)
Ron Paul (Nov.)
29. Great Quantum Experiment!
I don't know about you guys, but i think Irene lessened because of collective prayers for safety...
There is another depression coming ...it could be worse and even follow the same path.
Send healing and love to our Gods of the Ocean, and the Storm Goddesses ...I wonder if we can effect change on this level by focusing on the BEST of outcomes, rather than the worst. and it may help with visioning if we lay off the 'storm porn'
just an idea? what do you think? were you praying for healing and ease this past weekend with Irene? do you think you helped?
