Now I find I'm needing them to pot up seedlings before final planting out (I like to give them a month or so to develop some actual roots before subjecting them to the "soil" in the garden).
My curbside recycling claims to take all kinds of plastic, so after a quick cleaning I put the gallon ones with the little triangles indicating what type they are into the recycling bin. The bigger and smaller ones I keep to reuse.

is fussy about plastic - no 3-7 or unmarked plastic.

I'm working a new garden these days and I find that I am short of flats for starting forest planting...things that take a year or so to show.
But, those coir pots are great too. Just plant the whole thing.
