I harvested and braided onions today.
In addition to these braids I have a couple of large trays of loose onions too. Last year I only had enough for summer and this year, I'll be able to have onions for such a long time. I'm really thrilled as you can tell.

3. Those are beauties!
We got a good Onion harvest too,
but the Tomatoes, Jalapenos, and Cilantro aren't doing too well.
The HEAT since Mid-May (West/Central Arkansas) here is a killer.
We went from early Spring straight to Mid-July...skipped over the good part.
Even the local Old Timers are saying, "Worst Ever".

Thanks for the photos.
They made me smile.

4. we're in nw Arkansas and I water.
This is my second year garden. Everything is a struggle but the rewards are soooo delicious. Right now squash is becoming abundant. The swiss chard is dinner a couple times a week. I need to learn to store that for later in the year. My tomatoes are doing well. I covered one with shade cloth to keep it from burning in the late day sun. We;ll see what the peanuts do.

My biggest problem is weeds. I bought "straw" from the local last year and what it really was is baled weeds. I am really really angry...but I'm trying to keep it passive karma rather than active karma, so we won't go there
