I got to pick our first garden produce last night! |
|
Yeeee! I'm so excited!
I got to pick the first set of collard greens last night, and Hubby put them in the veggie casserole he whipped up last night for dinner (quite nummy!), and today, I picked a few more (they really grew overnight!) and the first batch of lettuce. I also managed to kill a tomato by trying to pick off the bottom branches, so my son and I had to replace that one and the one that the wilt got to. I had two extra and can't remember which kind they are (I'm thinking cherry tomato, which are good for the kids' garden).
Still, first garden stuff already! Yay!

Congrats on the first fruits of your labor.
We went through all of our lettuces and spinach before it turned very hot here. Still have some in the fridge that's holding up nicely in an Earthbound Farms plastic lettuce package.
