So there I am, innocently looking up a possible DVD purchase on Amazon a few minutes ago.

I was checking out comments on the German docudrama The Baader-Meinhof Complex, which I caught on cable not long ago.

Except for woeful under-use of the great actor Bruno Ganz (Wings of Desire, Hitler in Downfall), it's an excellent movie about the Baader-Meinhof Gang of the Sixties. Making up for Herr Ganz, sort-of-I-guess, Ulrike Meinhof is played by Martina Gedeck, from The Lives of Others. And we get to see a lot of that fantastic actress.

Yep, a 2.5 hour docu-drama about European terrorism. In German. That's how I spend my spare time, and may help to explain my non-existent social life...

Ahem. Anyway, among the comments, I found this jewel that helpfully explained everything.

I've edited. A LOT. Like certain R/T posts, this thing went on and on and ON. But it's got EVERYTHING!!! CosmiK awakenings, the NWO, the UFO's, Nostradamus...and child psychology!:

No wonder the Baader Meinhof Komplex or most of the corrupt puppet politicians they saught to rid Germany of had never heard of this. Today UFO's are still being seen over the areas where the events that this film is about took place and many other areas all over Germany , Eastern Europe , Russia and the Balkan countries...

The honest truth is that most of the adult people on this planet right now hate their children and do not in fact love them - for if they did no matter how much their rantings , ramblings and ravings about love we'd be living in the peaceful world we always wanted to live in...

2. Hey, you left out the Consciousness Shift and alien invasion!

Naturally such an invasion as turning this planet into a factory and a construction nightmare cannot possibly be considered permisseable during times such as these and yet there are those sick enough to allow others to even make attempts to initiate the process that could lead to the manifestation of such an event. The events of the Baader Meinhof Komplex remind us that sometimes violence has been used to make a point. Sometimes for a reason , sometimes without a reason.
Now that the need for the use of violence to make a point in terms of political activity has decreased significantly due to the Consciousness Shift , we find ourselves ever reminded of the dangers and madness of the global society which thrieved prior to the beginning of the actual shift in 1993.

Well, I'm not entirely sure the invasion of the planet is meant to be by aliens; but since he brought up UFOs earlier, it seems a reasonable conclusion.

"Construction nightmare" turns up more than once. It seems the reviewer has something about modern buildings. Of course, at the time of the Baader Meinhof, the European Union was known as the EC, and "EC ANTICHRIST" is an anagram of "ARCHITECT SIN". And the European Community became known as the European Union in 1993!

Good effort, but it doesn't measure up. Where are the pretentious signifiers? The six-degrees-of-francis-bacon, daisychaining linguistics with Ayurveda with physics with liberation theology with Edgar Cayce, in a single breath? The mystifying ornaments, apropos of nothing, except to indicate erudition and photographic familiarity with the entire back catalogue of Fate magazine? The grandiosity of an adept aligned to purpose beyond our ken, hinting of massive knowledge held in abeyance so as to not overload our meager circuits?

This one isn't bad, but DU has spoiled me rotten :)
