Chemicals aren't evil!
Gosh I so tired of people who have never even had HS chemistry talking about awful "chemicals". Umm you do realize that water is a chemical and so is Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon etc...Lets not even get into biochemicals like ATP etc that are necessary for life.
I even see people who should know better saying "not all chemicals are bad"...AAAGH -that kind of thing lends support to the all too common scientific ignorance that floats around this place...
I really hate this kind of ignorant use of scientific terminology...

2. Figures you'd say that, since you're a shill for Big Chem.
And if chemicals aren't evil, why did they call that evil bastard Chemical Ali? Hmm???

3. Of course they are!
The Bush Family are made of chemicals. Hitler was made of chemicals. Genghis Khan was made of chemicals.

7. I love that parody site.
I think a few people on this site have been fooled by it from time to time.

5. I always like to point out that they'd die
without a daily allowance of a combustible metal and poison gas.

Last night it was THC and Laetrile(!) cure cancer.

Every time you think some quack treatment has been laid to rest forever, up jumps another damn quack trying to push it.

6. I was going to say! All chemicals are bad, EXCEPT THC which is a miracle drug
Look, I don't care about marijuana. I think it should be legalized. That said, the ridiculous nature of some of the claims about it just piss me off.

9. Some idiot in GD claimed that NO ONE EVER
had an allergic reaction to marijuana. I'm like when did you become god and all knowing? Idiot.

10. While it's not actually an allergic reaction
some people do experience severe tachycardia on grass. I've had that happen once, myself, and it's unpleasant.

It's not a totally benign substance. It's the closest thing we have to one, though.

11. I'm allergic to apples.
But I must be lying, because apples are good for you, right?

Why wouldn't you be able to have an allergic reaction to pot? What's the theory there? Why is it any different than anything else?

12. I think the theory is "I've never personally encountered it so it must not happen!!"
Really, people seem to think that their limited experiences count for everything!

13. Where does this scientific illiteracy come from?
Didn't we all learn about this stuff in school? How is it possible to go through life with such a horrible lack of understanding of how reality works?

14. I wish I knew.
The lack of elementary school scientific knowledge on this site was a shock to me when I arrived in 07. I always thought it was much more common in fundies/rwingers. Nope.
