Prince Charles opens his mouth again

Yes, consumerism and short-termism are a danger to the environment, and if this had come from a bishop or such, I might have said 'Oh well, at least he's justifying respect for the natural world, not using religion as an excuse for getting into another war'. But I get sick of Charles acting like he's a profound thinker just because he's got Ancestors; and I am sick of pundits who blame secularism and modern science/medicine for all the world's ills. There was plenty of pollution and environmental destruction when Charles' great-great-great-grandmother, Good Queen Victoria, was on the throne and everyone went to church.

Just to clarify: I am NOT anti-religion as such, and have lots of respect for people who put their ethical beliefs whether religiously influenced or not, into practice to achieve real good in their community or in the world. I just resent those who rail against secularism and modern science, and blame all that is wrong in society on that. Especially when they are supporting or representing an Establishment which has far more to do with what's wrong with society.

2. He's a loon
and I just found out we're related, about 15 generations back or so. :eyes:

Science is our only hope of survival, and anything that interferes is bad for humanity.

3. Sometimes I think people really wish more of us would die
We wouldn't need industry if weaklings would just sod off like they used to do. Most people probably see themselves as surviving and thus, sure, why not? It's way better if you don't have to share the Earth with as many other people.

7. Dawkins might shoot back.
A few years ago, Prince Chuckles published one of his ignorant screeds about genetically modified food.

Dawkins wrote a rebuttal pointing out that wheat is genetically modified grass, and the Queen's Corgis are modified wolves.
