zOMG! Plants can think and have feelings!
The only reason why that idea sounds like bullshit is because our Western modality seeks to separate humans from nature through holography.

There are shamans who agree--Shamans! They must have a better grasp of objective reality because they aren't tied down by rationalism and objectivity. They literally converse with plants and are given guidance.

1. "they aren't tied down by rationalism and objectivity"
I think you can safely say that about 90% of America's citizens.

Spectacularly unencumbered!

6. WT Ficus?
...our Western modality seeks to separate humans from nature through holography.

OK, I'm not up on woo-speak, I guess. Here in the real world, wouldn't that mean - "separate humans from nature through the process of using two laser beams to create a 3-dimensional image?"

I think the writer meant something based in the word "holistic." But as is usually the case, it's not clear.
