This isn't a call out. Do not get involved in the other thread. I'm just venting.
Someone posted some nonsense about cellphones and 9/11 in the General Discussion forum and I got involved in it. It's since been moved to the dungeon.
People need to learn that "emeritus" doesn't mean "super duper extra special plus professor". They also need to learn that a computer science degree doesn't give you any special expertise in cellphone communications.

It comes complete with a rich mythology including "demons," "saints," "magical weapons," and "nebulous forces unknown to the common man." It also has plenty of false prophets.

Obviously it's not really a religion but it seems to be as impervious to logic.
If this was some governmental plot, why the hell would they fake cellphone calls that had a good chance of being recognized as fakes by the relatives that were called? Why add such an unnecessary and potentially weak point to your plan? It makes no sense.
