Does anyone still play Tribes?
I think it is still the best team-based, on-line game.

1. Now that you've mentioned it...
I'm going to look it up. I believe Tribes I is free, isn't it? I bought it way back... about a month before it became free. But I haven't played it in so long- I bet my computer (and internet connection) could run it now.

2. If it's not free...
It's only a dollar. :P We went to the Deals Dollar Store the other day and they had a ton of these in stock for a buck. Haven't taken the time to take a crack at it yet though...

5. check fileplanet!
While Tribes 2 is no longer free, Tribes (1) still is. I think all you need is a free fileplanet.com account.

3. The graphics are pretty primitive by today's standards, but
the plays the thing. There is no single player and jumping in to game with people you're not familiar with can be very frustrating 'cause you're going to do a lot of dying, but once you get clicking with your team-mates and the assignments (offense, defense, sniper, heavy medium light armor, weapons mix, etc.) it get very deep very quickly.

4. Tribes was a great game
I played it for about 2 years straight. It wasn't until the release of Tribes 2 destroyed the community(at least the one I was involved in) that I stopped playing.

I was hoping for Tribes: Vengence to bring it back, but it was not meant to be.
