I know I'm way late for the Portal Party

but I finally picked up a copy of The Orange Box last night. I must say I'm quite impressed by Portal. It's a tricky little game and rather well written, paced and scripted.

how's the Team Fortress multiplayer? I don't have a lot of time for multiplayer games any more, but this one looks pretty fun - I always liked the multiplayer games that actually encourage team work.

2. I actually haven't finished it

I'm only at the part right when you escape the training area. I've heard it's really short, so there's a good chance I'll finish it tonight while the wife is out with friends.

3. Despite it's shortness it still is a wonderful game.

I won't spoil a thing but I think you'll enjoy the end credits! GLADOS assures me that you will. She and Shodan should hang.

I'm now figuring my way through the puzzle with the bots in the cages. I think I have it figured out but I had to stop playing and go to bed before I ended up spending all night on the game...

I don't know about trying the challenges - I don't think I'd do too well...

5. You should check out some of the YouTube vdeos

There's one that has the player finishing one of the puzzles in two steps. As in, physical, pick-up-your-foot steps.

Having trouble with the advanced map with the robots on the platforms in the big room that normally has an energy ball in it...

7. Some of those guys on the youtube clips are insanely good.

I STILL can't get by the advanced robot platform map, though. I think I'll just have to leave that one be for a while.

Half-Life 2 looks great - I like the small updates to the game, too.
