I bought Bioshock with the system, and I'm thinking of going tommorrow and buying something else. Probably Fallout 3, GTA4 or Ratchet and Clank (interestingly, I've played ALL the other versions of all 3 of these games). Any other recommendations?

I hope you enjoy it, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2 are the only 2 games I really want to play but I don't have a PS3 :(

Out of all 3 next gen consoles I had to buy the 360 though, it just had a better game selection plus I'm a HUGE Fable fan :D. It was also cheaper and a lot of the games on the PS3 were for 360 anyways so there was really no point in getting a PS3 because it didn't have any exclusives that interested me. I may buy a PS3 some time in the distant future when the price goes down and more games come out for it.

Anyways congratulations and enjoy the system. :)

OH and for recommendations I would have to say Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2 lol and resistance looks alright too. I've never played them but those are the ones I would check out if I bought a PS3. ;)

2. I got my ps3 for 399, which is quite a lot, but doesn't seem that much more.
The only shitty thing is that it doesn't have backward compatability with ps2. But then I thought about it and decided I didn't care.....after I bought the ps2, I never played my ps1 games. And I still have my ps2, though it's not running as well anymore (old).

3. I know it looks a little silly, but LittleBigPlanet is a legitimately good platformer.
I'll also recommend Metal Gear Solid 4, and I hear Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are both very good games.

4. I never rec any threads that ask for one.
Oh wait.... :P

I don't have a PS3 yet, but I did just start Fallout 3 on the PC, and so far so sweet. :)

5. There are quite a few really good games...
Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, and Resident Evil 5 are probably my favorites. Infamous comes out next month as well, and that one is extremely promising.

If you really want to see the power of the PS3 then I would say Metal Gear Solid 4 is probably the most technically impressive game, Grand Theft Auto IV is probably the best in terms of single player game play, and Resistance 2 probably has the best multiplayer of any game in my opinion.

6. I think you need to get
Dead Space.

NOT safe for the kids. Very gory. Great fun.

8. I played it on my computer....it was pretty good.
I was really anxious to play it, so I bought and played it even thought my computer was barely to spec. Somehow, though, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
