3D Realms Sued Over Failed Duke Nukem Forever Plans

So, while I'm waiting for Rag Doll Kung Fu to download, I see this over at Slashdot:

I guess it is not really a surprise that lawsuits follow 3D Realms folding but there is an interesting link in the comments (warning, adult language and brief nudity):

That shows some actual footage of DNF, leaked after 3DR folded. I assume this is the current state of DNF (who knows). If it is, then damn... this game still had a loooong way to go before it was done. Graphically, its OK, it looks very "duke" but it also looks like stuff released at least a few years ago.

Damn, what a disappointment. I was really kind of hoping that in the ensuing lawsuits someone decent would end up with not only the IP but what was currently completed of the game. I'm sure someone will still end up with the IP but they will definitely have to start from scratch to put something out.
