I don't have SC2 yet so I've not seen it firsthand. Now that you have 1st in bronze, does it force you to silver or something?

I was consistently in the Top 25 of 3v3 Silver, but then for some reason it still kicked me down to Bronze (ceded to 6th place).
You're supposed to be able to progress somehow from Bronze to Silver to Gold to Platinum or Diamond or something.
I have no allusions to ever getting above Gold, but would be happy to stay in the top 20 of Silver.
